Christmas Dining Room {Christmas Home Tour Day 2}
My dining room is all decorated for Christmas! I’m excited to show you all my holiday decor.
Good morning! Another day of home tours!! I am in absolute awe of all the stunning Christmas-ified homes that I have been ogling at in the blogosphere lately… from the Holiday Housewalk tours last week to the beautiful house tours that are part of this week’s series hosted by Migonis Home (I’ve added the links at the bottom again today).
If you were here yesterday for our Christmas Living Room then I mentioned that I would be back each day this week with a different decorated space in our house. And today I can’t wait to show you our Christmas dining room…
If you are a regular reader then you may know that we have a big kitchen renovation going on around here. Going on. And on. And on. And on. I have been working out of a temporary kitchen in our garage since August. No, I am not joking.
But we still use our dining room every day to eat at…. so having it pretty and calm and festive (and warm, literally, warm) is oh so pleasant.
If you are a regular reader, then there may be some new things you notice in this tour. Like our enormous new set of doors that view out to the beautiful lake. I LOVE them.
And a room full of fresh white board and batten. I love it too.
I carried the soft blue color and bright gold from the adjacent living room right into the dining room.
Maybe you saw my post last week about how I created this table runner from the Tonic Living fabric leftover from my Christmas/Winter pillows? There is even an extra little fun fabric piece on each end…
Also, did you happen to notice this little (well, about 8′ tall) pine tree in a bucket during my Christmas Living Room Tour yesterday?
Yup. Cut that myself. With a saw. A real hand saw; not a power saw. It was a bit difficult but I powered through it. And then I dragged it all the way back to our house. It is held up in the bucket by some big rocks. Not a bad makeshift tree bucket, I think. My boys loved this little ‘project’ of ours.
And I added a little classically beautiful Christmas with my favourite Willow Tree Nativity Set adorning our faux mantel cabinet…
The perfect reminder that during this busy holiday season we need to pause and remember, reflect, and rejoice while thanking God for his ultimate gift in giving us Christ his son. And from that, we can be filled with hope and peace…

Beautifully decorated for the holidays Krista! All this time I had no idea you were a fellow Canuck (I’m from Alberta).
Beautiful, Krista! And looking out onto the lake must be sooo gorgeous! Am so excited to see your kitchen makeover 🙂
Everything looks so beautiful! We also have the Willow Tree nativity set and I love it.
It is such a classic, right? Pull it out year after year and you never tire of it?

Thank you Cassie!!
This is a beautiful space. I love whit board and batten. We are in the process of installing it in our “ongoing” kitchen remodel. I feel your pain. Lol!
Thank you Michelle- I totally understand what you must mean by ‘ongoing’…
