Classic Christmas Mantel Decor with Wayfair

This year I feel like Christmas dreams really do come true.

I’m talking about our new fireplace, of course.

We’ve been dreaming of it for so many years now; and it really did come together so quickly that it’s hard to believe that it’s really and truly here.

In our living room.

I can’t wait to spend lazy holiday mornings sitting in front of it with my morning coffee and not feeling rushed to get on with my day.

And I really can’t wait to decorate it for the many seasons to come!

For my first take at decorating our new mantel for Christmas I had the opportunity to collaborate with Wayfair on creating a Classic Cottagey Christmas design; a mix of rustic pieces, natural greenery, and classic Christmas-y finds.

And I even added one piece that will stay up all year round…

The first piece we added to our new fireplace is this Wayfair.ca  Driftwood Star, and it will stay up all year round. While it looks great for the holiday season; it can easily transition between seasons and will be equally at home on our Spring and Summer mantels as it is on our Christmas one.

Next up?!

Well, you need stockings for Christmas, of course!

I love the pattern and colour of these Wayfair.ca FairIsle Stockings; they lend a traditional cottagey feel. I’ve got some cute traditional reindeer patterned pillows on the dining room pew and the pattern of these stockings picks up on that design and carries it between the two spaces.

The Wayfair.ca Advent Countdown Calendar Garland is a fun and whimsical touch; and I added in a slightly rustic feel with the Wayfair.ca Driftwood Deer on either side of the TV.

A favourite?!? This stunning  Wayfair.ca REAL preserved Boxwood Garland?!? I love boxwood for the holidays; and nothing pops like natural greenery.

The Wayfair.ca Tin Tree Luminaries cap off this mantel decor perfectly; they are nice and compact so they don’t interfere with the TV; and add a cottagey rustic feel because of the galvanized metal design.

I think it’s a good balance of classic Christmas cheer and natural and rustic finds. A great first crack at our Christmas mantel decor!
