Easy DIY Dollar Store Fall Berry Wreath DIY
Today I’m sharing how to make a fall wreath with an easy 5 minute tutorial using fall berry sprigs and one bag of pumpkins and pine cones from my local Dollarama.
Today truly feels like Fall.
Not because of the weather…it’s actually getting warmer again after a few cloudy days this past holiday weekend.
But because it’s back to school. Back to reality. Back to everyday routine.
As much as I’m loathe to see the summer wrap up, there is something nice about getting back to routine. Plus…as my fall-loving friends have pointed out, it means that sweater and boot season is just around the corner. I definitely don’t mind getting cozy again in my fall wardrobe.
Plus, September is one of my favourite months of the year. The weather is often sunny and clear, but not as hot…perfect painting weather. Which is a good thing, because we are working on a major home makeover of the exterior of our house, including painting it from head to toe. In fact, we’re nearly finished! I’ll be sharing those details (and the before and after) really soon. I know that this DIY fall wreath will look perfect featured on our newly stained “cedar” front door…
To make this I used:
- 1 grapevine wreath form
- 6 fall berry sprigs
- 3 mini pumpkins and 3 pine cones (in a pack from the dollar store)
- hot glue gun and glue
I began by pushing the long wire ends of my pretty fall berry picks into the wreath form, twisting them in and then out and in again so they were secured without needing any glue.
Then I wrapped them up both sides, facing upwards, and left an open area at the bottom of the fall grapevine wreath for the pumpkins and pine cones.
Finally I then used my hot glue gun to secure some cute mini pumpkins and pine cones in this open space, and added some thick sisal twine to hang it with.
Done!
It literally took me minutes to make and was super thrifty! I already owned the wreath form, and the fall berry picks, pumpkins, and pine cones were from the dollar store (and sourced from my craft room stash).
I love the pop of bright fall colours, and I think it will look fabulous on our new front door (that I recently stained to look like cedar).
And today the Fall Seasonal Simplicity Series continues!
