Simple & Stunning DIY Snowball Ornaments
Looking for an easy Christmas tree decoration? This simple but stunning DIY snowball Christmas ornaments are the perfect way to decorate your tree!
Well, I’m back. I can’t quite believe it either. But I just have too many more Christmas crafts, decor ideas, and inspiration to share with you all…. So I’ve decided to extend my series to 12+ Days of Christmas instead of just 12! Today I am here to share a super quick and easy DIY project that you can easily whip up in an evening or a quick burst on the weekend: these simple & stunning DIY Snowball Ornaments. They are the perfect thing to add a little sparkly winter wonderland feel to your Christmas tree!
To make these I used:
- Martha Stewart Decoupage medium (that I had on hand)
- Floracraft foam balls
- FloraCraft Diamond Dust
- Straight pins and a bit of ribbon to hang the completed ornaments with.
To make these I simply brushed my decoupage medium over half of each styrofoam ball at a time, sprinkled the diamond dust over top of the foam ball, and then set it aside to let it dry for a few minutes. I then came back and repeated the process on the other half. If you sprinkle your diamond dust over top of a plate or a piece of paper it is easier to put your excess back into the container afterwards (because we never want to waste!).
As I mentioned, I simple used a push pin to add some pretty ribbon as hanger, and plopped them up on the tree…
Done! I love the sparkly slightly glittery and winter wonderland feel that they add to our blue, rustic natural tree. They really do look like actual icy snowballs {which we never get around here…}.
You might even have all or most of these materials on hand – I did. I always have a few extra foam balls hanging around in my Christmas Craft stash from year to year… waiting for inspiration to hit.
