Summer is the perfect time to add a little extra colour to your life. Think of pink and yellow blooms set against the bright blue of a warm summer sky…
Or imagine enjoying a perfect glass of pink lemonade while basking in the sunshine…
This summer I am loving the combination of blue, pink, and yellow together… so when I received these beautiful new nail polish colours from Trind, I. Was. Pumped!
They are called Mellow Yellow, Burst My Bubble, and Surf’s Up. What fabulous summer names! I love the hint of glimmer in the dark blue- I think it would look perfect on toe nails.
And the mat finish of the pink and yellow is totally on-trend; I love the look of them on my fingernails. I usually keep my nails pretty short, so a strong mat color suits them perfectly. I thought I would mix it up by adding a different colour of my ring finger…
What do you think? Do you like it? Or do you prefer all one color on a hand?? I couldn’t believe I got this amazing coverage with only ONE coat! I wish my wall paint would cover like that.
It certainly is a summery-fun change from what my nails usually look like…
Let’s be honest. My nails are generally a disaster. They are usually covered in remnants of spray paint because I ran out of paint thinner rather then a pretty color. I sometimes try to keep my toe nails in decent condition with a little homemade pedicure action…but my fingers nails are notoriously weak and thin and constantly break or peel or tear. It could be something to do with the amount of painting and cleaning that I do…subjecting them to all kinds of chemicals and scrubbing on a regular basis. But who doesn’t want pretty nails for summer? So I was super stoked to try out the Keratin Treatment Kit.
It includes a Keratin Restorer and a Keratin Nail Protector as well as an Acetone Free Extra Mild Nail Polish Remover. The Keratin Repair Kit is designed to strengthen and, obviously, repair your nails.
All you do is apply the Keratin Nail Restorer with the brush included and rub it into your nails to strengthen them. You can do it several times a day if you like. Or, once the nail restorer is dry you can apply the Keratin Nail Protector. It acts as a clear coat that adds strength to your nails as well. I let it dry thoroughly before applying my pretty colored polish. I think the Protector even looks fabulous on it’s own- it adds such a nice natural sheen to your nails.
Don’t they look better already? Realistically, I am more likely to keep up with a clear coat like the Keratin Nail Protector… that way when it gets a little chippy with all my DIY projects it isn’t as noticeable:) But I love a little bit of fun color for special occasions and events. Don’t you?
Now…even though I may usually keep my nails pretty neutral, you know that I am no stranger to color in my decorating. And have you ever noticed how what you see as new Trends in Fashion and Beauty are soon reflected in the world of Home Décor as well? Think of all the chevron pillows and chevron maxi dresses that you have seen… or the trend towards tribal or Ikat prints in fashion and in home décor as well. The same goes for nail polish colours; what is popular and on-trend in beauty is on-trend for your home as well.
So I made up a little inspiration board for an Outdoor Patio space using my three new gorgeous Trind Nail Polish Colors as the jumping off point.
