Friday’s Finds: Affordable X-back Cafe Style Dining Chairs

Hello friends! Happy Friday! I’ve been battling a really sore throat and headaches all week so I’m glad to have the weekend here. And here in Canada it’s an extra long weekend; this Monday is Thanksgiving!

I shared my Fall Dining Room tour earlier in the week and I had quite a few readers as well as IG followers  asking me about our dining chairs.

So today I decided to round up some lovely (and affordable!) x-back cafe style dining chairs for y’all…

I purchased my X-back dining chairs from Urban Barn, but they no longer carry these chairs so I’ve gone in search of other affordable options.

{In fact, I think I was lucky enough to purchase these when they were on clearance and the store has since gone completely out of stock on them}.

Now, I know that when I was humming and hawing over what type of chairs to select to go with the farmhouse table that my Dad was building us, I had a few friends and family members who were concerned about the sturdiness of the X-back chair style.

In fact, I was deciding between the chairs we purchased and a less expensive X-back model from Ikea and most people thought I should go with the Ikea chairs!

But I listened to my gut and went with the chairs I truly loved… and I couldn’t be happier.

They are totally sturdy, plenty comfortable, and exactly the look I wanted. But since they aren’t available to you anymore, here are some other options if you are looking for an x-back cafe style dining chair…

Most of the prices shown are for TWO chairs.

Just click on any of the images to be taken to read more about that chair…

Good luck in your chair search, friends!

  1. These are all gorgeous options! We don’t have x-back chairs currently but I love the open feel that yours give your dining room. We may have to make a change. Lol. Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday this week.

    1. Hi Lynn! No, I wish I were that talented:) They are all from thrift stores and I just painted the frames all white to make them more cohesive!
