Cozy Cabin Christmas Mantel Decor with Pops of Red
Do you want to create a cozy cabin feel in your home this year for the holiday season? I’m sharing our neutral cozy cabin Christmas mantel decor with pops of red to inspire you to create your own homey and calm mantel decor this holiday.
They say the best laid plans go awry.
But when our plans go awry, we change our perspective and our plan is born anew. This holds true in life (and most certainly with regard 2020) as well as in decorating. Take for example our Christmas decor this year. I started out neutral and was loving it. But then we couldn’t find our stockings in our storage unit. Well, we could find some stockings but not the white fur stockings that I had planned to use this year. I sent my husband back to the sea can where all of our Christmas bins are piled precariously high, and he searched through every one to no avail.
So, we have red plaid stockings.
Not part of the plan, but I’m going with it. Kind of like we’ve all just had to go with it this year; what other choice is there? And, you know what? I added a few red ornaments and some ribbon on the tree and the pops of red are actually working. It’s still neutral, rustic, and natural but with a little extra pop of Christmas colour. I think you’ll love it as much as (it turns out) that I do!

What do you think of the red?
I really wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I do! Plus, now that Erik Santason (our Elf on the shelf) fits in with our holiday decor:)
There are only a few key elements on this mantel…
I used:
My Snowy Forest Free Printable
My DIY pine cone and pompom garland
DIY real branches with flocking
Peace on Earth mini sign (I found mine at Michael’s last year, but I’ve seen really cute farmhouse signs at Walmart this year as well)
Simple ingredients, that I already owned… but a fresh new take on things.
Nothing new this year, aside from what I made myself…
We are also loving our gas fireplace in the evening these days! And all the twinkle lights! The holiday decor makes this season so much more bearable, I don’t know what we’d do without it…
Want to remember this? Just PIN it!

Peace on Earth is necessary to live happily. Every occasion took the people near to each other. The red colour looked very beautiful. I added a few red ornaments and some ribbon on the tree and the pops of red are actually working. I love Christmas.
I’m loving the pops of red and the plaid! As you know I’m crazy for plaid, so I think this is great! P.S. LOVE the tree printable…I’m definitely going to print that off!
It looks great! I love the pops of red.
So pretty, krista! I love the little trees and houses!
