Dollar Store Door Decor Lavender Stuffed Basket

Today I’m sharing how to make a quick, easy and beautiful lavender stuffed basket using all supplies from the dollar store; this dollar store door decor will add a beautiful touch to your front door this spring or summer.

It’s all about isolation projects over here these days.  We are totally into tackling things that we’ve been wanting to get to for ages but haven’t had the time (see yesterday’s post about the One Room Challenge project that we are tackling this spring). We are also trying to use up things that we own as we do these DIY projects.  Over the next few weeks we plan to head out to update some things in the yard, including refinishing our front porch with the same technique that we used in this project.

For today’s post, focusing on ideas for spring and summer front door and porch decor, I managed to use things I already owned that I had purchased from the dollar store in the past with some intention or another.  I love how it turned out and can’t wait to share how easy it is to create a lavender stuffed door basket using super thrifty finds from your local dollar store…

All you need to complete today’s project is a door basket, some foam, and a selection of florals as well as some dried moss. I decided to go with lavender because, well, I love lavender and I also think it suits both late spring and summer.  I think this would be equally pretty with a variety of florals, and the same technique would work for all kinds of faux branches and flowers.

All you need to do is stuff your basket with foam, cut your floral branches to length, and then stuff them into the foam.  Cover with moss and hang the basket up! So cute and easy (and thrifty, since all the parts were from the dollar store).  This looks great hanging on the front door, but would be equally cute on an outdoor wall somewhere as well!
