Cement Tile & Patterned Tile Floors in the Bathroom

Today I’m sharing some gorgeous and inspiring bathrooms featuring cement tile and/or vintage style patterned floor tile.

It’s an exciting day around here. The tile is done on the walls and floor of the main bathroom shower and it’s time to move onto the bathroom floor. Yay! Once the floor tile has been laid and grouted it will be time to move onto installing the toilet, vanity, and bathtub. I can’t wait to see it all come together (and be functional) once again. It’s been nearly two months since we starting tearing apart this section of the house, and having a toilet on the main floor again is going to be much more exciting then it sounds!

Now… the tile. It was a bit of a scary choice to make. Even though I knew in my heart of hearts that I love it, it’s also a very bold choice for this space. I think the crisp black and white colour scheme of this tile makes it classic. This is the one I picked from Lowes Canada – you can also find it here on the US Lowes site.

When I was making my final decision, I decided to scope out different bathrooms that have used cement patterned floor tile or vintage patterned style floor tile in their design, and I came across so many beautiful examples of using beautiful patterned tile in the bathroom…

Well?

Which style is your favourite? Geometric or floral/medallion?

Are you looking for something similar to use in your space? Try these!

I know it will be the primary feature in the room, but that is absolutely okay with me, and I was thrilled with how affordable the tiles we chose ended up being. I can’t wait to get home from work today and see how it all turned out…

Did you find some inspiration?

  1. Love these bathrooms! We have very similar taste! Any idea where I could source the geometric patterned tile shown in the Studio Matsalla pic?

My husband and I are building our own house in Crested Butte, CO. Austrian timber and Scandanavian style.

    Thanks!

  2. Thank you SO much for the feature!!! Such a sweet thing to do! I’ve been away from blogging for a little bit as we sold our farmhouse and have been busy building again. This was such a sweet surprise. You made my day!!! 🙂 Every space above looks AMAZING!!!
