Spring Kitchen with Lemon Kitchen Decor
Add a pop of color and inject energy into your spring kitchen with these lemon kitchen decor and yellow kitchen decor ideas.
There is just something about lemons that screams spring to me. Adding lemons and fresh pops of the colour yellow to our kitchen instantly gave it that springy injection of energy that I was looking for. While not traditional or over the top theme-y, this lemon kitchen decor was felt like the perfect accent to usher in spring.
Seasonal Simplicity Spring Series
Today some of my friends are sharing their spring kitchen decor ideas as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Spring Series. Be sure to check out their articles by visiting the links below the collage images at the bottom of today’s post. Last week we shared our Spring Living Room Decor Ideas, and the week before we shared our Spring Mantel Decor.
Lemon Kitchen Decor Ideas in our Spring Kitchen
For whatever reason, I was craving a pop of colour this year. Adding yellow and springy lemons and lemon art was a simple way to create a fresh spring feel in our kitchen. It was super fast and easy to give our kitchen a fresh feel by adding this injection of yellow. AND! I didn’t buy anything new aside from the potted daffodils from my local grocery store!
I love how the yellow kitchen decor touches contrast with our green-grey-blue kitchen island. The colour is Knoxville Gray by Benjamin Moore. It’s the same colour we used on our laundry room cabinetry.
Yellow Kitchen Decor for Spring
The colour yellow seems to be one of the first signs of spring where we live. I always anxiously await the bright yellow forsythia defying winter with its stark pop of colour well before anything else dares bloom. The primulas and crocuses often feature strong tones of yellow. Then, of course, we have classic daffodils. One of the most symbolic flowers of spring, and the perfect way to inject some colour.
These lemon branches are from Michaels and I bought them a couple of seasons ago. The glass jug was from the hardware store, and the print is available in my printable library.
Spring Kitchen Decor at the Sink
I picked up this sweet little cake stand at HomeSense a couple of weeks back. I’ve added some simple spring touches with a decorative bird that I have owned for several years, along with the mini cloche and tiny Easter egg. You can read details about that in this post. I just switched the flowers for moss and faux Easter eggs.
Lemon Kitchen Decor on Open Shelving
I added some faux lemons to our shelving, as well as some free printable lemon art (see below for how to download it yourself). I also brought back our little lemon tree. All of these ideas are simple touches that repeat a theme and accent colour, but are still subtle.

I’ve had this sweet little lemon tree for years and many readers have asked me if it’s real. It’s not! Just goes to show that investing in decent faux blooms and plants is well worth it in the long run.
I haven’t really showed this angle of our kitchen very often; it’s the view we see when we enter it each day as we come in the house through the laundry room off the garage.
I’m enjoying the fresh, sunny feel of our kitchen as we all look forward to the longer (and sunnier) days ahead.
I’ve shared my other spring tours in this year’s Spring Seasonal Simplicity series here…
