Good morning, friends and Happy December!!

It’s officially here! I don’t have to feel like an absolute lunatic for having our house fully decorated and four trees all aglow each evening. I’ll be considered normal, again:)  Maybe…

I hope you had a great week. We’ve been plugging along around here and are looking forward to the holidays! I’ve been battling a cold this week and know that it’s because I’ve been pushing myself to get things done and staying up too late, as of late. Thankfully things are falling into place and I’ve almost accomplished my goal of being ready for Christmas in November! I’m looking forward to wrapping up a few details this weekend, as well as attending the first couple of holiday parties of the season. We head off on a family vacation next Thursday, so I know there will be extra time for R&R at that point!

This week has been all about Christmas. Tours galore! Have you seen many yet?? It’s so exciting to see what everyone has been sharing; the amount of beautiful inspiration is truly overwhelming. I shared our Christmas bedroom, front porch, and entry hall this week as well as a little peak at our living room through our Christmas mantel.

While I’ve stuck with a pretty classic red, white, and black almost ski-lodge chic feel for most of our Christmas decor this year, I did decide to stick with cool blues and greens for our bedroom. It was my first time decorating a white tree and it was a welcome change! So light, bright, and airy! {PS – head over here for more of our beach-chic master bedroom tour!}

If you are wanting to give a white tree a try, I spotted this lovely white pencil tree on sale this week through Joss & Main

Speaking of light, bright, and airy; I always draw so much inspiration from Lucy from Craftberry Bush; and this week she shared her gorgeous pastel toned Christmas tree and living room decor.

I’ve adopted Lucy’s feather duster method for dressing the Christmas tree and I can’t wait to show you how amazing it looks on our big dark green tree! {You may have noticed them on our little white bedroom tree?}  I picked mine up at the local Dollarama – Lucy’s tutorial for this garland is here.

And isn’t her flocked tree beautiful? We have one flocked tree and I would like to try flocking one of our other trees. In fact, I just ordered this Sno Flock flocking powder to give it a try!

I can’t wait to try flocking all kinds of things around our place, and I promise I’ll have a tutorial and review to share with you soon…

Cami from Tidbits also shared another gorgeous light, bright and airy tree that stopped me in my tracks! Whenever I see those big poinsettia picks in the Christmas ornament section, I never think I’ll like them on my tree, but Cami made them such a stunning feature of her tree!

Maybe next year I’ll go with lighter pastel tones for Christmas…. but for this year, I am definitely loving the addition of red to most of our Christmas home!

I spotted these super sweet  Free Christmas Printables from One Project Closer  and the colours reminded me so much of our space – especially of the Christmas tablescape that I just put together to share with you next week!

Speaking of that tablescape (can you tell I’m excited about it?!?)…I wish I had seen this tutorial by Kim from Sand and Sisal before I created it! How sweet are these folded napkins for your Christmas table?! Kim gives a full video tutorial on how to do these!!

I made my own double-sided napkins a few years back just in time for the holidays and I LOVE them. You can read about how to sew your own in my tutorial here.

And I love those cedar chargers that Kim used on her place setting. I spotted them recently in store at Pier One when I was doing my Christmas shopping. I see they are on sale this week! I’m super tempted to order some.

They also have a faux cedar table runner

Since red and white seems to be my think this year I am totally smitten with the crisp classic and simple feel of Chelsea’s mantel decor at Two Twenty One…

Her felt ball garland is so pretty!! I think Chelsea said her garland is from Target – head over to her post for the exact sources of everything on her mantel.

I made a felt ball garland in ombre shades of blue this year; you can make your own by ordering the felt balls through Etsy. Our’s is currently displayed on our headboard in our Christmas master bedroom.

They go together really quickly and easily – and you can choose any colours that work with your decor. {You can read my tutorial here}.

Or if you don’t have the time or inclination to make your own – you can always order a custom one!

I also love the classic, cozy, farmhouse feel that Laura at The Turquoise Home has created with her mantel this year – and the sneak peak at her tree is amazing! Plus, she shares how she DIYed that gorgeous sign hanging over her fireplace!

I love Laura’s soft, pretty farmhouse style because she always includes a pop of colour.

I’m really loving pops of red right now!!

Here’s a little sneak peak at our tree….

I added a bunch of frosty picks to our Christmas trees – much like these berry picks like this are the perfect way to add a pop of red into your Christmas decor.

I used quite a few of this style of berry pick throughout our decor this year…

One of my favourite areas to add a little touch of Christmas to, each year, is our kitchen. I think it’s something about the way the pops of red look with all the soft blue/green in that space. And this week I loved the pops of copper and touch of glam that my friend April from House by Hoff added to her simple, neutral holiday kitchen…

Don’t you love that copper?

Last week I was shopping at the Dollorama and I found moscow Mule Mugs for $3!! Totally not real or well insulated, but really pretty for drink and decor purposes, none-the-less. Here is a sneak peak at them in our Christmas kitchen…

I’m also on the lookout for a beautiful copper pitcher. I spotted  this beautiful copper pitcher on sale this week at Pier1. Wouldn’t it make a stunning addition to almost any holiday table…

I also see they have their copper mugs on sale this week, if you aren’t as lucky as me to find a version at your local dollarama! {PS – the dollarama is also where I picked up all my feather garlands to create the Lucy-style garland I shared about above.}

Did you see something that you want to remember?

Then pin it!

Have a great weekend, friends!
